Estudiantes de La Plata Joins Umbro

Umbro Argentina has confirmed the rumors and welcomed Argentinian giants Estudiantes de La Plata to its lineup. Previously equipped by Adidas, Estudiantes becomes the fourth team from Argentina under contract with the Double Diamond.

Umbro Becomes new Estudiantes Kit Supplier

The Estudiantes de La Plata first team has already begun using new Umbro jerseys in training, while the first Umbro Estudiantes de La Plata kit will be launched on January 14.

In time for the start of the 2016 Primera División in February, Umbro will release the first official Estudiantes de La Plata home jersey, while the remaining parts of the collection, including the away kit, will be unveiled in March.

Brian Handley, President of Dass Group, owner of the Umbro brand in Latin America, commented: "We are proud to be represented by an institution as Estudiantes de La Plata in a very important year for the club, its 111th anniversary.

Juan Sebastian Veron, former player and president of Estudiantes de La Plata, stressed the importance of the alliance with the Umbro brand "committed to developing a relationship that contains the intense sports life of our institution, both of the first division football as well as of the lower categories."
