James Rodríguez Shows Off Next-Gen Adidas Ace 2016 Primeknit Boots

Real Madrid superstar James Rodríguez has become the first high-profile player to lace up in the Adidas Ace 2016 Primeknit Soccer Boots launch colorway after FC Barcelona's Ivan Rakitić already showed off the Solar Green Laceless Adidas Ace PureControl Boots on Tuesday.

On Monday, Adidas launched the revolutionary laceless Adidas Ace 2016 PureControl Football Boots. However, while the German brand will also release the second generation of the three other high-end Adidas Ace editions (Knitted With Laces, Synthetic, Leather) very soon, the German brand decided to show off their revolutionary laceless boot before revealing the complete next-gen Adidas Ace Collection, giving the laceless boots the most possible attention.

James Rodríguez laced up in a non-modified version of the brand-new Adidas Ace 16 Primeknit Boots. Combining a knitted upper with a sock-like collar, the next-gen Adidas Ace Primeknit Cleat comes without a tongue but traditional laces, which is one of the main differences to the laceless Adidas Ace PureControl Football Boots.

Apart from the fact that it's quite interesting to see that James Rodriguez opted for the traditional version of the knitted Adidas Boots with laces, there is nothing interesting to add about his boots at this moment.

James Rodriguez is set to debut the bold boots in Real Madrid's next league match against Betis.
