One-of-a-Kind? Mexico Superstar Giovani dos Santos Receives Camouflaged Nike Hypervenom Boots

Are these boots one of a kind? LA Galaxy striker and Mexico international Giovani dos Santos has received a modified version of the bronze Nike Hypervenom Phinish Boots. And while his boots are nothing similar to the standard edition of the low-cut agility cleats, they still look quite familiar? But why? We will find it out in this article.

In May 2015, Nike revealed the next-gen Nike Hypervenom Football Boots. And whereas many players soon after that switched to modified version of the boots, the 26-year old Mexican striker Gio dos Santos ignored that Nike released the second generation and laced up in the yellow and purple Nike Hypervenom Phantom I Boots until the end of 2015.

Boasting the visual design of the bronze Nike Hypervenom Phinish Soccer Boots that were released in late November 2015, the Nike Hypervenom Phinish Giovani dos Santos Edition has less in common with the regular edition of the low-cut boots. But what are they exactly?

It makes no sense to describe each difference between the regular and the camouflaged Nike Hypervenom as the uppers of both boots are entirely different. In fact, the upper and tongue-design of the Nike Hypervenom Giovani dos Santos Boot is identical to the Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boots, whereas the visual design is obviously that of the Hypervenom. However, whereas the upper is totally different, at least the sole plate looks to be the same as the one of Nike's Hypervenom. So, as the tech specifications of the boots are totally different to the regular edition, why are they nevertheless more than familiar to us?

While the boots look to be one of a kind, they are in fact just exactly the same cleats that FC Barcelona superstar Neymar received as he never got happy with the second-gen Nike Hypervenom (at least the upper).
