Leaked: Nike to Launch All-new TiempoX Proximo

Nike will unveil an all-new indoor and turf football boot this summer, the Nike TiempoX Proximo. Set to become the fourth member of the Nike FootballX range, the TiempoX Proximo will bring the features of the high-end Nike Tiempo Legend VI to the small-sided game on turf and court fields.

Whereas the other top-tier Nike FootballX football shoes, Magista and Mercurial, feature a heightened Dynamic Fit collar, the new Nike Tiempo Proximo boots will closely mirror the materials and silhouette of the regular-edition Nike Tiempo Legend VI boots.

Thus, the Nike TiempoX Proximo has a kangaroo-leather upper with included ACC (All Conditions Control) tech for a premium touch under all conditions. The completely new x-ray inner skeleton, introduced for the sixth generation of the Nike Tiempo Legend, is also a prime feature of the TiempoX Proximo, as is the tongue-less upper construction in general.

One part of the Tiempo Legend VI can obviously not be ported over to the court and turf grounds: the sole plate. Anyway, Nike decided to look to one of its existing models here as well, instead of puzzling out an entirely new approach. In short, the mid- and outsole to be used for the Nike TiempoX Proximo will be identical to that of the MagistaX Finale and Proximo boots, including a Lunarlon midsole for improved cushioning.

Nike TiempoX Proximo - Design & Colorways

The overall aesthetic of the turf and court Nike TiempoX Proximo soccer shoes is set to be very close to that of the Tiempo Legend, while there'll barely be pitch-inspired paint jobs and instead more TiempoX-exclusive editions.

The first colorway of the Nike Tiempo X Proximo shoes will be a 'Black / Gum / Light Brown' effort, roughly inspired by the black / turquoise Nike Tiempo Legend VI football boots. A FootballX-exclusive 'Summit White / Varsity Blue / Black' paint job for the Nike TiempoX Proximo will be released at around the same time.

Nike TiempoX Proximo - Launch Dates & Price

The very first Nike TiempoX Proximo soccer boots are set to be launched in July 2016, with regular color updates following approximately every month.

The totally new Nike Tiempo X Proximo soccer boots will cost about the same as the other premium FootballX models, the MagistaX Proximo and the MercurialX Proximo: 160 USD, 150 EUR, 120 GBP. A remarkable price that is second only to the Tiempo Legend VI (210 USD), while the cheapest indoor / turf model of the Tiempo, the Tiempo Mystiq V, is currently available for a mere 85 USD.
