Next-Gen Nike Mercurial X 2016-2017 Boots Leaked
The second generation of the Nike Mercurial Finale Football Shoes only introduce few upgrades for the cutting-edge speed indoor, street and turf football shoe. The next-gen Nike Mercurial X Finale 2016 Football Boot will be launched with the same colorway as the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly Euro 2016 Boots (Hyper Crimson / Volt / Black - May 2016 - The first leaked pictures show a later paint job).
Next-Gen Nike Mercurial X Finale II Black / Pink Blast
This is the second-gen Nike Mercurial X Finale Soccer Shoe.
Boasting a similar design as the Black and Pink Blast Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 Boots, the next-gen Nike Mercurial Finale X Boot combine a classic upper with striking pink. The mainly black shoe comes with a remarkable lines pattern on the upper and features a grey Swoosh.
However, whereas the upper and the splatter-graphic patterned midsole of the boots is quite bold, the Black and Pink Blast colorway of the Nike Mercurial X Finale 2 Shoes features a standard orange rubber sole plate.
Made for lockdown, ball touch and explosive motion, the second-gen Nike Mercurial Finale Indoor, Turf and Street Soccer Shoe again features a lightweight mesh upper with NikeSkin technology and a no tongue system. In fact, the complete upper construction is almost identical to the first-gen boots, while the only significant difference are the 'speed ribs' that are made for even more stability.
The next-gen Nike MercurialX Finale Indoor and Turf Soccer Shoes again feature a low-profile Phylon midsole for superior underfoot ball feel and a sole plate made for fast small-sided games. Like the previous generation, the Nike Mercurial X Finale 2 Boot will be available both as Indoor Court (IC) and Turf (TF) version.
The black next-gen Nike Mercurial X Finale 2 Football Shoes retail at the same price as the previous generation (80 Euro, 90 USD, 70 GBP) and will be available from August 2016 at selected retailers.
Almost exactly the same as the previous generation. What's your verdict on the next-gen Nike Mercurial X Finale 2016-2017 Indoor, Turf and Street Football Boots? Let us know in the comments below.
Ajax to Lose Ziggo as Main Shirt Sponsor
Dutch telecommunications company Ziggo has announced it will step down as the main shirt sponsor of Ajax following the conclusion of the 2026-27 season. This decision will bring an end to a long-standing partnership that first began in January 2015, marking a 12.5-year run on the front of the iconic Amsterdam kits.
VodafoneZiggo stated that the decision not to extend the current agreement stems from a strategic shift to focus on new brand initiatives and partnerships outside of football. The current deal, which is reportedly valued at around €10 million to €12 million per year, leaves a significant commercial spot to fill on the Ajax jersey.
Ajax is now actively searching for a replacement main sponsor to take over the front-of-shirt rights starting from the 2027-28 season. Fans will see the familiar Ziggo logo on the club's shirts for one final campaign before a new era begins for the Dutch giants.
Dynamo Dresden 26-27 Goalkeeper Kit Released

Manufactured by Jako, the shirt introduces a highly unique look for the German club's shot-stoppers. The Jako Dynamo Dresden 2026-27 goalkeeper shirt features a striking design in the club's traditional black, yellow, white, and maroon colors.
It serves as a direct homage to the Aufstiegsfischerhut, a promotion fisherman's hat, and incorporates various 90s cult design elements into a collage-like pattern across the front. The unconventional aesthetic of the kit has drawn mixed reactions from the fanbase. While some supporters appreciate the bold 90s-inspired uniqueness, others feel the busy pattern is somewhat overwhelming.
Chemnitzer FC 26-27 Away Kit Released

The Jako Chemnitzer FC 26-27 away shirt is built upon a dark navy blue base, which is elevated by a subtle, repeating textured stripe pattern woven directly into the front of the fabric.
To provide a striking and highly customized contrast against the dark background, all of the primary applications are executed in a vibrant sky blue. This includes a premium 3D silicone club crest, the Jako manufacturer branding, and the logos of all current sponsors, who agreed to alter their corporate colors to match the kit's cohesive aesthetic.
Subtle contrasting sky blue stripes on the collar and sleeve cuffs complete the clean design. The jersey also features the club's founding date, "15. Januar 1966," printed on the back of the neck as a nod to their history.
The new Chemnitzer FC 26-27 away kit is available to purchase soon for 74,95 Euro.

South Korea Forced to Change Away Kit Font Color for 2026 World Cup
South Korea have been forced to change the nameset color on their 2026 away kit to comply with FIFA equipment regulations. The original light green names and numbers, which were worn during the team's pre-tournament friendlies, have been replaced with navy for the 2026 World Cup.
The change was made to increase the visibility of the names and numbers from a distance. The original light green color did not provide enough contrast against the light purple and white camouflage-style pattern of the Nike away shirt, violating FIFA's strict rules regarding the legibility of player identification.
The updated navy nameset was debuted in South Korea's second match of the tournament, providing a stark contrast to the shirt's base design and ensuring full compliance with FIFA's visibility standards.
CD Numancia 26-27 Home, Away & Third Kits Released
Spanish club CD Numancia and their long-time technical sponsor Erreà have officially unveiled the club's new kits for the 2026-27 season. The launch celebrates a historic milestone, marking 20 years of uninterrupted partnership between the team and the Italian sportswear brand. To honor this two-decade collaboration, the new designs reinterpret the essence of the original kits from the 2006-07 season, when Erreà first began outfitting the Soria-based side.
The CD Numancia 2026-2027 home kit returns to the club's traditional deep red base with blue details, directly inspired by the 2006-07 template. It features a classic central shield placement, reviving a vintage aesthetic that defined the early days of the partnership. The away kit reverses this color scheme, utilizing a crisp white base with red and blue accents. Rounding out the set, the third kit introduces a clean black design with red and white elements that firmly connect to Numancia's identity.
