Special AS Roma Chinese New Year Kit Revealed
Italian Serie A club AS Roma will wear a special shirt in tonight's Serie A clash against Sampdoria in advance of the Chinese New Year – which falls on Monday, February 8th. The new special AS Roma 2016 Chinese New Year Kit boasts a greeting to fans in China on the front. AS Roma already displayed a Chinese New Year greeting last year, which featured the message "wishing you a happy new year in advance".

AS Roma's kit for this year's Chinese New Year boasts a Chinese text on the front that refers to the fact that 2016 is the year of the Monkey in China. It reads "Golden monkey brings good fortune and happiness." Apart from the lettering on the front, AS Roma's shirt is the same as the regular AS Roma 2015-16 kit.
The message from the kit will be also displayed on LED boards inside Stadio Olimpico throughout the match, which is also shown live in China. Additionally, four first team Roma stars have taken part in a Chinese-themed crossbar challenge video, captain Francesco Totti has recorded a personalized video message in English and Chinese to be broadcast as part of a Chinese New Year Gala programme.
If this wouldn't be already enough, new Roma signings Diego Perotti and Stephan El Shaarawy, along with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny and midfielder Radja Nainggolan, have also recorded a fun video for fans as they attempt to learn Chinese.
