All-New Adidas X 16+ PureChaos Euro 2016 Boots Released
The all-new Adidas X 16+ PureChaos football boots introduce a bold and flashy design, set to be debuted in the Champions League final on May 28. They introduce an (almost) laceless design in the vein of the Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl and will be available from May 24 as part of the new Adidas Mercury Pack.
It's expected that a few high-profile players who are currently sporting the Adidas X 15.1, such as Gareth Bale and Luis Suárez, will switch to the totally new Adidas X 16+ PureChaos boots.
Adidas X 16+ PureChaos - Silver Metallic / Solar Red / Core Black
This is the spectacular first colorway of the all-new Adidas X PureChaos soccer boots, part of the Adidas Mercury Pack.
In line with the other boots from Adidas' Copa America and Euro collection, the first-ever Adidas X PureChaos cleats are predominantly silver, in this case combined with splashes of red. Similar to the Adidas Ace PureControl boots, the sole plate of the new Adidas X 16+ PureChaos football boots boasts a metallic finish.
A large Adidas Performance logo is placed on the instep of the Adidas X 16+ PureChaos cleats, while the sockliner and laces are offset in striking Solar Red.
In order to offer a larger, cleaner striking surface compared to the regular Adidas X 16.1 cleats, the Adidas X 16+ PureChaos Mercury Pack boots hide most of the lacing below the upper, with only the part at the very top being visible. This way, the Adidas X 16+ PureChaos boot combines the distraction-free construction of the Adidas Ace PureControl with the ability to tighten the fit if necessary.
Other than that, the upper of the Adidas X PureChaos Mercury Pack boots is similar to the regular 16.1, while the sole plate and stud configuration are identical. It also includes Adidas' NSG (Non-Stop Grip) tech for improved performance under all conditions. The next-gen Adidas X PureChaos 2016-17 Boots feature an external heel counter for added protection and have a traditional stud configuration with four studs in the heel area and seven studs in the forefoot area.
Of course those technical advances don't come without extra cost. The Adidas X 16+ PureChaos boots retail at $300 (€300) from May 24.
