This image shows the navy Adidas X 2016-17 boots.
Inspired by the color schemes of the first and second Adidas X 16 colorways, the royal Adidas X 2016-17 boots have an entirely blue upper and combine it with a sole plate in Solar Red to create a bold look. All brandings, including the striking Adidas logo on the outstep of the blue Adidas X 16.1 football boots are silver.
A large Adidas X logo, accompanied by a techfit branding, is present on the inside rear of the Collegiate Royal Adidas X 2016 boots. Just like on the first two paint jobs, a subtle pattern is visible on the techfit collar of the royal Adidas X 16.1 soccer cleats.
Featuring a tongue-less construction, the second-gen Adidas X 16 boots combine a ultra-thin one-piece synthetic upper with a techfit collar for and improved fit and ultimate ball contorl. Furthermore, the touch area of the Collegiate Royal Adidas X 2016 soccer boots comes with remarkable grooves that symbolize the speed of the silo while also adding towards improving ball control.
Entirely new, the sole plate of the blue Adidas X 2016-17 boots include an external heel counter in order to provide better lockdown and speed, while the stud configuration has also been adjusted to represent a more traditional approach.
Set to be available from mid to late July 2016, the Collegiate Royal Adidas X 2016-2017 soccer boots retail at $200 (€200, £160).
