Closer Look: Mesut Özil's Custom Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl
Today's game against Italy not only saw Özil reach the semi-final with Germany, the initial kick-off also provided us with the best picture of his custom Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl boots yet. Offering a detailed look at the cleats from the rear, it showed a Mira writing on the heel, in honor of Özil's niece of that name.
Joining Paul Pogba and Ivan Rakitic, Germany's Mesut Özil has become the latest Adidas player to receive his very own version of the Ace 16+ PureControl soccer boots.

Having worn the regular 'Mercury Pack' colorway of the laceless Adidas cleats, Özil was spotted wearing a slightly modified edition, featuring the colors of the German flag as well as Özil's shirt number, in training and is also expected to lace up in them for the game against Slovakia.
