Barcelona Finally Debut Qatar Airways-Sponsored Shirts

Update: FC Barcelona finally debuted the shirt with Qatar Airways on the front after they wore sponsor-less jerseys in the first three pre-season friendlies.

Mundo Deportivo today reports that Wednesday's FC Barcelona Joan Gamper Trophy game against Sampdoria will see the team wear the shirts with the Qatar Airways sponsor for the very first time, after the first three friendlies were disputed in front sponsor-less shirts.

FC Barcelona and Qatar Airways announced a one-year renewal of their sponsorship agreement three weeks ago, following months-long speculations. This week, the Qatar Airways-featuring Barcelona 16-17 kit will actually be worn by the team for the first time.

The report goes on to state that it will take a bit longer for the sponsor-featuring Barcelona 2016-17 kits to go on sale as the club and Nike are waiting for the initial batch of shirts without a sponsor to be sold first.
