Throwback - 2015 Nike Tech Craft Pack

One year ago today, Nike released one of the more interesting football boot collections. The first of three Tech Craft packs, it combined the features of the brand's most advanced football boots with traditional leather uppers.

Visually, the contrast between the materials couldn't have been more striking. Whereas the 'regular' base of each model was left the same as on the previous Lightning Storm Pack, the leather parts, applied to the front of each shoe, were completely black.

Celebrating this ground-breaking launch, high-profile Swoosh players such as Edinson Cavani (Hypervenom), Blaise Matuidi (Magista) and Alexis Sánchez (Mercurial) represented the collection on-pitch.

Following up on the initial Tech Craft collection, Nike released two more takes on the concept in November and February. While it's currently on hold, a new Nike Tech Craft collection, featuring the new generations of the brand's Hypervenom, Magista and Mercurial boots for the first time, is slated for a release in early 2017.
