Special AS Roma 16-17 Kit Revealed

Serie A club AS Roma wore a special kit in yesterday's match against San Lorenzo. The special Roma 2016-2017 jersey boasted the logo of Misericordes sicut Pater on the front in tribute of the ongoing Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.

On Friday morning the AS Roma squad was also granted an audience with Pope Francis ahead of Saturday's Festa della Famiglia match against San Lorenzo at the Stadio Olimpico.

Based on the AS Roma 16-17 away strip, the new AS Roma 2016-2017 special shirt comes with the logo of Misericordes sicut Pater on the front while it also features a special text on the front to mark the occasion of the match against the Argentinian side.

Misericordes sicut Pater is the official motto of the Year of Mercy which began on December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and continues through the Feast of Christ the King, November 20, 2016.

The game, initially organized as part of the ongoing Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, will see all proceeds donated to the ongoing earthquake relief efforts.
