Rakitic and Suárez Show Off Unreleased Adidas Ace and X Red Limit Boots
FC Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, one of the most high-profile players to wear Adidas' laceless cleats, has become the first to train in the launch colorway of the Ace 17+ PureControl boots. His team-mate Luis Suarez was meanwhile spotted wearing the upcoming Adidas X 16.1 boots from the same collection.
Rakitic Shows Off Unreleased Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl Red Limit Boots
This is a close-up of the next-gen Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl Red Limit cleats worn by Rakitic.
Part of Adidas' Red Limit collection, the very first Ace 17+ PureControl boots are black and red with silver-metallic accents, such as the 3 Stripes on the outside.
Tech-wise, while the upper construction is largely the same as on the previous generation, a slim layer of Boost has been added to the midsole part - and is even visible thanks to a partly view-through outsole. Learn more about the Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl here.
The boots worn by Suarez form part of the same Adidas football boot pack, but are only an updated paint job for the X 16.1 model that dropped last summer. See more close-up pictures of them here.
