The Stand-Alone Adidas Messi Silo Will Be Scrapped
Adidas will discontinue its stand-alone football boot silo dedicated solely to Lionel Messi. As many already expected, the start of the all-new Adidas Nemeziz line of cleats in June 2017 will put an end of Messi's own boots, at least in a way.
What will Messi wear?
Fittingly, Lionel Messi himself will switch to the new Adidas Nemeziz once it's released next summer. Instead of wearing the standard colorways, such as the blue and yellow one that was leaked in October, Messi will receive a series of own colorways, similar to how Nike is handling it with Cristiano Ronaldo and the Mercurial Superfly.
The Adidas Nemeziz boots for Messi will be called Adidas Nemeziz Messi 17 and the first of them will be released together with the initial Adidas Nemeziz. The first-ever Adidas Nemeziz Messi cleats will combine black, yellow and white.
When will the last Adidas Messi 16 be released?
At the moment, we expect the last-ever Adidas Messi 16 boots to be released in March 2017 as part of the so-called Adidas Turbocharge pack. (see the corresponding Ace 17.1 Primeknit here)
