Did These Nike Concepts Inspire the Adidas Champagne Pack?
Current flavor of the month on this site, the Adidas Champagne pack got the football boot heads talking recently. Slated to be released on May 1, the Adidas Champagne pack will not only include the hyped Predator Mania remake, but also fitting colorways for the Ace 17+ PureControl, Copa 17.1 and X 16+ PureChaos models.
Turns out, Adidas' idea to apply the iconic "Champagne" colorway to different boots than the Predator wasn't all that new. In fact, the guys at Swoosh Customs, known for their interesting and sophisticated custom boot designs, created something very similar (and extremely popular) in late 2015.

Mirroring the design of the Adidas Predator Mania 2002 Cleats, the Mania editions of the Nike Hypervenom, Magista, Mercurial and Tiempo combine the 'Champagne' upper with a red tongue and black applications and laces.
What do you think? Was Adidas inspired by Swoosh Customs' idea to bring the Champagne design to all silos? Comment below, and check out the latest Adidas and Nike leaks in the Boot Calendar.
