Predator Vibes - Here Is Vincent Kompany's Full Boot History
Manchester City center back Vincent Kompany celebrates his 31th birthday today. We take a look at the football boots the Belgium international has worn in his career so far, including the Adidas Predator, Nike Total 90 and the Warrior Skreamer soccer cleats.
Vincent Kompany Starts Career With Adidas Predator Football Boots
A product of RSC Anderlecht's youth system, Vincent Kompany made his first matches as professional wearing the iconic Adidas Predator football boot. He wore the Adidas Predator in almost all matches for RSC Anderlecht, while he gave the back then brand-new Adidas F50 Adizero boots a try in 2004.
Kompany joined German Bundesliga team Hamburger SV in 2006. The defender used the Adidas Predator in all 79 matches for Hamburg.
Vincent Kompany Joins Manchester City and Nike
When Kompany joined Manchester City in 2008, he surprisingly did not lace up in Adidas Predator cleats but in Nike's Total 90 football boot. Kompany should wear Nike's power boot for almost five years.
Kompany Becomes Warrior Athlete
In early 2013, the center back blacked-out his Total 90 football boots as a sign that his contract with Nike had come to an end. And it should be soon known which brand he would join as he was captured wearing Warrior Skreamer soccer boots just a few weeks later.
In February 2013, Warrior officially announced that they signed the Man City captain. He posted the following message:
"I am honored to be joining the Warrior team – I actually see our relationship as more of a partnership because it's about a lot more than just their brilliant product," Kompany said. "For me, being a warrior is a mindset. Beyond your physical ability, it's about what you have in your heart, in your head and in your mind. I am happy to endorse those values."
Kompany laced up both in the first-gen and second-gen Warrior Skreamer soccer cleats, while he made the switch to New Balance's Visaro soccer cleat when New Balance decided that Warrior Football should be history.
Kompany's Warrior / New Balance Deal Ends - Man City Defender Returns to Adidas
When Kompany used 'blued-out' Adidas Ace football shoes at the beginning of the 2016-17 season, it seemed to be confirmed that his contract with New Balance was already up. And when he switched to branded Adidas Ace soccer boots, it became certain that the Belgian has rejoined Adidas after eight years with other brands.

Nigeria Women Update Crest With 10 Stars
At the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), defending champions Nigeria featured a special detail on their shirts: 10 stars added above their crest. The "Super Falcons" had never worn stars on their kits in previous WAFCONs.
The 10 stars represent Nigeria's 10 continental titles, celebrating their history as the most dominant team in African women's football. Big thanks to our Vietnamese partner @jerseystory_vn for the collage image.
