Adidas Has Stopped Selling Leather Ace and X Boots
You might already have noticed this, but Adidas has suspended the sale of the leather editions of both Ace and X 17 since the launch of the latest collection, Dust Storm.
Adidas Ace and X Leather Boots Now Exclusive to Pros
Professional players such as Real Madrid's Nacho are still able to get their hands on the boots.
Despite them having been leaked prior to the release of the newest collection as well as appearing on the feet of the likes of Montolivo and Nacho, it's not possible to buy the the Adidas Ace 17.1 Leather or the X 17.1 Leather in the Dust Storm colorway. With the latter one being the first-ever release of the X 17, it looks like that model won't hit retail shelves at all.
Adidas did not officially announce or explain this move, but it's likely one that aims at reducing the complexity of its lineup, especially in light of the recent additions of Copa and Nemeziz.
If you are a fan of either the Ace or X leather cleats, you should move quick to pick up one of the last pairs available of the Red Limit, Blue Blast or Turbocharge editions.
We'll keep you updated in the case of Adidas explaining or reverting this move.
