No More France and Man City | German Club Releases New Bespoke Nike Kits

Following massive criticism from their fans regarding the new kit designs, German fourth division club Wuppertaler SV decided to change their already launched kits and add individuality to them, in cooperation with a supporters group.

Updated Nike Wuppertal SV 17-18 Home, Away & Third Kits

All fans could choose between Nike's Vapor I (Nike Aeroswift Euro 2016 Inspired Kit) and Nike's Precision IV 2017 (2016-17 Third Kit Inspired Kit) for the club's new home and away kits for the 17-18 season, but both supposed new Wuppertal 2017-2018 kits were remarkably similar to two well-known Nike kits - the France Euro 2016 kit and the Manchester City 16-17 third kit. This, and the unfitting colors for the club, led to criticism from their fans and supporter groups.

Fans from a supporters group asked the club if it would be possible to have fan-designed shirts. Both the club and Nike agreed the idea, which means that Wuppertal will have two kits with individuality in the upcoming season. So which kits will Wuppertal wear next season?

Original home and away kits - the gradient stripes kit will be the 17-18 third kit

The new Wuppertal 17-18 home kit, which was not included in the original kit vote at all, features the club's traditional home kit colors red / white and a unique blue design element on the front. The away kit is blue with the graphic element in red, while the third kit is the standard orange gradient kit (originally supposed to be the club's away kit).
