When Adidas launched the Official Match Ball for the 2018 World Cup on Thursday, many were not happy with the design and color scheme of the ball. However, the German brand now also launched four takedown models of the Telstar 18, with one standing out with a look that may even surpasses the one of the Official Match Ball. Adidas Telstar 2018 FIFA World Cup Top Glider Ball | White - Copper - Gold Metallic
Combining the main color white with Copper and Gold Metallic applications, the main colorway of the Adidas Telstar 2018 FIFA World Cup Top Glider Ball has much in common with the color scheme of the popular Adidas Krasava 2017 Confed Cup ball. It is not unlikely that many would have preferred this paint job over the quite dull 1970-inspired color scheme of the Official Match Ball.
Tech-wise, the Adidas Telstar Top Glider ball is not really comparable to the cutting-edge Adidas Telstar 18 OMB (Official Match Ball). The Adidas Telstar Top Glider is machine-stitched and features a soft upper with a textured surface.
