Arsenal Goes All-Red For First Time in 39 Years Against West Bromwich
In order to avoid a shorts color clash in the game away against West Bromwich Albion in New Year's Eve, Arsenal paired its home shirt with red shorts and socks for the first time in 39 years.
The one-off shorts, which are not available to buy, are simply red with with trim along the bottom and on the sides. The socks are all-red bar the brandings on front and back.
Although the Premier League's relatively lax kit rules would have likely allowed them to go with their regular white shorts, Arsenal decided to wear red ones. The option of mixing home and away uniforms was discarded by the Gunners.
