Here Are All Nike Mercurial Launch Editions in History

Nike last week released the next-generation Nike Mercurial football boots in a striking orange colorway. We take a look back at all launch editions of the Nike Mercurial football boot silo.

The origin of the Mercurial silo dates back to 1998, when Ronaldo debuted the original Nike Air Mercurial boots. The boots were originally released in black, while the infamous Ronaldo version in silver/blue/yellow was launched for the 1998 World Cup.

Since the launch of the first-ever Nike Mercurial soccer cleats 20 years ago, the Swoosh released around 15 further Nike Mercurial football boot models. Most of the cleats were launched in just one colorway, while some generations were / will be released in two different launch paint jobs (e.g. Nike Mercurial Vapor IX -2013).
