It is obvious that Arjen Robben's Adidas X cleats are different than the standard edition already at first glance. The most obvious difference between Robben's custom boot and the retail edition is that Arjen Robben's cleats feature a leather upper with stitching in the touch area.
The second remarkable difference is the collar of the cleats, which comes with a completely custom, lower cut for the Dutchman.
Interestingly, Robben is not the only player who is wearing modified Adidas X cleats as several superstars such as Gareth Bale and Marcelo also received their preferred version of Adidas' chaos boots.
