- Release: The New York City FC 2018 away jersey was released and modeled by David Villa.
- Design: The away kit is dark grey with sky blue stripes and white logos, using the same template as the new Colombia kit.
- Home Kit: The New York City FC 2017 home kit will continue to be used in the new season.
The New York City 2018 away jersey was released today. Made by league-wide kit supplier Adidas, the new New York City 2018 away uniform was, amongst others, modelled by NYCFC player David Villa.
Team Captain, David Villa shared his thoughts on the new jersey: "I am proud to wear our new away jersey and represent New York City on the road. Most importantly, it’s a shirt I think our loyal fans will really love. It was fun to do the photoshoot in Harlem since community is so important to our Club."
New York City FC 2018 Away Kit
This is the NYCFC 2018 away shirt.
Based on the same template as the new Colombia kit, the New York City 2018 away uniform is dark grey with a sky blue 3 Stripe graphic on the upper sides and the 3 Stripes on the shoulders in the same color.
White logos complete the kit, including a monochromatic version of the NYCFC crest.
The classy New York City FC 2017 home kit (pictured below) gets carried over into the new season.

Premium Material Returns to the World Cup Champions Badge
Alongside the second star above the crest, Spain officially unveiled a new 3D embossed World Champions badge during their recent 3-2 victory over England in the UEFA Nations League. This badge previously appeared on Spain's jersey after their 2026 FIFA World Cup triumph.
Compared to the heat-applied plastic version seen on Argentina's kits, the new badge from Cromotransfer offers a significantly more premium look, featuring an embossed surface and a multi-layered structure. Before that, Adidas has increasingly shifted to pre-applying tournament and champions badges directly in its manufacturing facilities.
However, this upgrade will be exclusive to the authentic player-version jerseys. The fan-version replica shirts will continue to feature the standard heat-transferred plastic badge.
