Especially designed for the match against Espanyol B, the special L'Europa 2018 jersey features the same design as the club's usual home shirt (white and blue) in yellow and white.

Club Europa is best known for its football team who in 1929, along with city neighbours FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol, were founder members of La Liga. During the late 1990s they won the Copa Catalunya twice in succession, on both occasions beating FC Barcelona in the final.

Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola has been fined £20,000 for wearing a yellow ribbon as an “act of defiance”, according to an Independent Commission by the Football Association.
