Special-Edition Nike x Kim Jones Mercurial Superfly 360 Cristiano Ronaldo Boots Revealed

Nike Football have teamed up with fashion designer Kim Jones to create a special-edition Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 Elite (Superfly 360). Slated for a debut in the Champions League game against PSG on 6 March, the special-edition Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 Kim Jones football boots were first revealed by Cristiano Ronaldo in training yesterday.

“I grew up in Africa and have always admired the strength of animals,” says designer Kim Jones, who followed his hydrogeologist father to Kenya and Botswana as a youth. Fittingly, it also drove an interest in speed. “The cheetah is the fastest land animal, so it makes complete sense as an inspiration for me,” he says.

A wild look, the Nike x Kim Jones Mercurial Superfly 360 soccer boots are predominantly orange with an cheetah-inspired all-over print and solid white Swooshes.

Jones' name appears inside the 'M' branding on the heel as well as in the form of a print pattern on said 'M' and on the multicolor sole plate.

“Football gives young people a common goal and allows them to be a part of the community, connecting with the rest of their community in real life on the field rather than just digitally, ” Jones said, reflecting on his belief of sport's power to change the world.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 Elite Kim Jones boots are set for a debut by Cristiano Ronaldo against PSG on 6 March. They'll be available to buy at Nike's Champs Elysees store that day, with additional pairs slated to hit Nike.com during halftime. The exact number of pairs or price have not been confirmed yet.

The cleats come in a special cheetah-print orange Nike box, with the package also including a special string bag with the same print and nice details.
