Konami Announces 9 New League Licenses for PES 2019
Following the horrible loss of the UEFA Champions League license, Konami recently confirmed the addition of 9(!) brand-new exclusive league licenses for PES 2019, which will be out in late August for PS4, Xbox and PC.
While FIFA retains exclusive licenses to most of the high-profile league such as the Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga, meaning they can't be in PES, Konami have now picked up 9 new league licenses (Belgium, Scotland, Denmark, Switzerland, Russia, Portugal, and Argentina) - of the with the Russian Premier League license is exclusive to PES.
Two more new PES 2019 league licenses are yet to be announced, as are additional stadiums.
In the case of the Danish, Portuguese, Scottish and Swiss leagues, PES 2019 will also include authentic trophies - check them out below.
“Announcing seven new, official football leagues for PES 2019 is a clear sign that we are committed to giving fans more of what they want – more licensed content,” said Konami’s Jonas Lygaard.
“We are more confident than ever in the direction the franchise is headed and this is just one of many steps we are taking to elevate PES to new heights. We continue to believe in the Power of Football and PES 2019 will be our most powerful game yet featuring more fully licensed leagues and clubs than ever before.”
