Germany vs South Korea 2018 World Cup Clash Was a Torture For Million of Color-Blind People
Germany by big surprise failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup knockout stage in yesterday's 2018 World Cup clash against South Korea. The German's national team away kit made its World Cup debut yesterday (and it's only World Cup match...). South Korea wore their red home jersey. However, while it was no problem for most people to distinguish both teams, people affected by color blindness had it quite hard.
Red-green color blindness is found in about 6% of the male population, mostly in its mild form deuteranomaly. It affects 0.35% of the female population.
Kit Clash in Germany vs South Korea 2018 World Cup Match For Color Blind People
Big thanks to @hendocfc for the image.
The shirts of Germany and South Korea looked almost identical to color blind people, so they had to look at the shorts to distinguish both teams. The color blind version of the match shows something FIFA would never allow as 'normal' kit match-up.
I’m colourblind, and yes, it’s ridiculous that Germany weren’t playing in white. I have to look at the shorts.

The dilemma could have been easily solved if Germany would have worn the home kit, which would also align to FIFA's dark vs light kit match-up regulations.
Should have Germany worn the home kit to avid this torture for million of people? Let us know in the comments below.
