Original UEFA Super Cup Sleeve Badge Was Removed
At the 2026 UEFA Super Cup, Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa wore the reigning Champions League and Europa League title-holder patches, respectively. This change started last year during the Super Cup clash between PSG and Tottenham Hotspur.
From 1998 to 2024, both teams competing in the UEFA Super Cup wore a single, generic tournament patch featuring the Super Cup trophy.
While PSG will continue wearing their Champions League patch throughout their continental campaign, Aston Villa's reigning Europa League champions patch will make its one and only appearance at the Super Cup. For their upcoming Champions League campaign, Villa will switch to a special Starball patch designated specifically for the reigning Europa League winners.

PSG Debut Retro-Inspired Champions League Font in UEFA Super Cup
Paris Saint-Germain officially debuted their special cup font for their 26-27 home jersey during the 2026 UEFA Super Cup clash against Aston Villa. The nameset made a striking visual statement on the pitch, featuring player names enclosed in sharp white rectangular boxes alongside 3D-styled squad numbers.
This unique typography takes direct inspiration from the legendary font worn by PSG during their victorious 95-96 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup campaign - the first major European trophy in the club's history.
While the streamlined standard typeface will continue to be used in domestic Ligue 1 matches, this nostalgic 90s-style font is set to be worn exclusively during their Champions League title defense.
Aston Villa 26-27 Third Kit Variation Debut
Following the 2026 UEFA Super Cup last night, we have got the first look at Aston Villa's new combination for their recently-released third kit.
Not being able to use the original version with claret shorts and socks due to kit clash against PSG, The Villans use white shorts and socks along with sky blue shirt to create an eye-catching look. Unlike many people's predictions, sky blue was not chosen by the club and Adidas for this variation.
Notably, these shorts and socks choices could very likely be inter-changeable between home and third kits, since both jerseys share similar color combinations.

The overview showcases the diverse range of kit manufacturers and iconic designs set to feature across Italian football this season. With the new campaign fast approaching, these illustrated visuals offer supporters a convenient look at every club's primary colors before official action gets underway on the pitch.
