Nike will introduce two totally new football boots in the coming months - the Nike Phantom Vision (release August 2018 - replaces Magista) and the Nike Phantom Venom (release January 2019 - replaces Hypervenom). However, both while both boots are completely new, they share a lot of elements.

The most obvious similarity of the two all-new Nike boots is the name and the logo - Nike Phantom VSN (Vision) and Nike Phantom Venom (VNM). Both boots are made for two specific player types - The Nike Phantom Vision is made for the modern midfielder, while the Nike Phantom Venom is made for the modern striker.

But the Nike Phantom Vision and the Nike Phantom Venom do not only share the name - they both also feature Nike's all-new lace cover (Ghost Laces). Both the Nike Phantom Vision and Nike Phantom Venom feature not a sock-like collar (the Nike Phantom VSN has a low collar, the Nike Phantom VNM has no collar at all).

The upper of the Nike Phantom Vision is made from Flyknit with a synthetic outer layer and ACC (All Conditions Control) for perfect control, whereas the Nike Phantom Venom comes with rubber elements for perfect shooting accuracy and power (the exact tech specifications of the Nike Phantom Venom are not known yet).

The outsoles of both boots is also made specifically for the purposes of the cleats - the Nike Phantom Vision comes with many conical studs for rotational agility, while the Nike Phantom Venom comes with triangular studs for better acceleration.

All in all, it can be said that the two all-new Nike football boot are based on the same technological base - They share the all-new lace cover while the specific elements of each boot are either made for perfect passing accuracy and agility (Nike Phantom VSN - offensive midfielder boot) or perfect shooting accuracy and acceleration (Nike Phantom VNM - striker boot).

Both the Nike Phantom Vision and the Nike Phantom Venom will be available for around 250 USD (240 Euro, 200 GBP).
