After Just Six Months: Coutinho Switches Barcelona Number
Having signed with the club just six months ago, Phillipe Coutinho will ditch his current number 14 this upcoming season.
From now on, Coutinho will wear the famous number 7 shirt, previously used by such illustrious names such as Luis Figo, David Villa and Pedro Rodriguez. The most recent case is less fortunate, Arda Turan.
Earlier rumors had suggested that Barcelona were saving number 7 for Antoine Griezmann, but since he didn't arrive at the club after all, it was free to take for the Brazilian.
It remains to be seen which numbers Barcelona's new signings, Arthur, Malcom, Vidal and Co. will select - the full squad hasn't been confirmed yet.
