Four Paris Saint-Germain Players Wear Kits Without Names - Here Is Why

Paris Saint-Germain started the 2018-2019 Ligue 1 season with a 3-0 victory against SM Caen on Sunday. People who watched the match asked us why some PSG players did not have their names on the back.

New PSG coach Thomas Tuchel surprised fans of the French club with his line-up that included a few players one would not expect. Antoine Bernede, Colin Dagba and Stynley Nsoki started for PSG. They wore number 33, 34 and 35 and did not have their names on the back. The reason for that is that PSG did not assign fixed numbers. They even did not have a number on the starting line-up PSG posted ahead of the match.

In fact, the players who do not have a confirmed squad numbers wore different numbers in PSG's pre-season games. PSG players without an assigned number just use a kit with number 33-40.
