Up-and-coming graphic designer gmvdesign has created a set of Nike kits for Manchester United, playing with the idea what current-day shirts for the club made by the Swoosh could look like.

Inspired by Adidas' most recent effort, the home jersey incorporates a lot of black in a fading design - it's a horizontal gradient compared to Adidas' vertical one, mind.

For the away shirt, gmvdesign wanted to produce a modern take on the classic Manchester Worker Bee, whilst also using gold details to accommodate the "horrible sponsor".

Completing the set is the most outstanding, eye-catching of the bunch. The third jersey is inspired by the sea as an important part of Manchester's history, as well as the stormy times the club has gone through in the post-Ferguson era.
