Why Did Puma Never Release Them? Laceless Puma One Boots - Serious Laceless Adidas Predator Competitor?

Around one year ago, we leaked what appeared to be Puma's first-ever laceless soccer boot, a laceless version of the Puma One. One year after our leak, it seems certain that the cleats (originally scheduled for early 2018) will be never released officially. Now football boot freak gunt22 has got his hands on the cleats, giving us a better look at it.

We leaked the laceless Puma One soccer cleat in two colorways - one fresh green one and one black one. Gunt22 shows us all details of the black colorway that features a chrome sole plate.

Laceless Puma One Football Boots Will Be Never Released

Designed to compete with the laceless Adidas Predator Purecontrol, the laceless Puma One 18 'launch edition' has black synthetic-leather upper with an evoKNIT sock and an eye-catching strap around the heel and where it'd usually have laces. It is a construction completely different to any boot released yet.

The strap features subtle 'PUMA' writings in red. The sole plate boasts a stunning chrome look.

The laceless Puma ONE 18 boots would have been released for around 275 USD (275 Euro, 220 GBP), which would have them make Puma's most expensive non special-edition boot to date.

Would this boot have been a serious competitor for the laceless Adidas Predator? Would you have liked Puma to release the laceless Puma One soccer cleat? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
