Leicester City Wears Two Different Shirts Against Burnley

Update: Leicester City today wore a special shirt in the first half of the Premier League match against Burnley to remember former chairman, who died in a helicopter accident outside the stadium on 27th October. Khun Vichai’s name was embroidered on the team’s match shirts during the first half - The second half shirts bore the poppy symbol to commemorate the sacrifices of servicemen and women in conflicts past and present.

Leicester City yesterday announced that they will wear to distinct jerseys for their Premier League fixture against Burnley this weekend.

It will be the first home match for the club since chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four other people tragically died in a helicopter accident outside the stadium on 27th October.

The five people involved in the accident will be remembered prior to kick off and at 2:45pm a special ‘Tribute to Khun Vichai’ video will be shown on the big screen.

Supporters will also receive gifts such as commemorative scarfs, pin badges, clap banners and souvenir matchday programmes to honour the Foxes late Chairman.

The Leicester City players will wear tribute t-shirts prior to kickoff whilst Khun Vichai’s name will be embroidered on the playing shirts for the first half.

For the second half, the Leicester City players will switch to their regular home kits. They will feature an embroidered poppy as the match has been selected as the clubs annual Remembrance fixture, a tradition the club started back in 2003.
