No Phantom VSN?! Coutinho Trains in Possible Next-Gen Nike Mercurial 2019-20 Boots

Thursday, 10 January 2019
FC Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been spotted wearing blackout football boots. And while it is not known surely what they are, it seems likely that they are the next-generation Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 football boots.

Coutinho usually laces up in the Nike Phantom VSN soccer shoes. However, the boots rather look like a Mercurial, and Hazard laced up in very similar (identical) boots in early November 2018. Coutinho had been wearing the Nike Mercurial before Nike launched the all-new Phantom VSN silo.

Coutinho Wears Blackout Boots in Training - Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Boots?

Totally blackout, Coutinho's boots feature no visible brandings, but they look the same as those worn by Hazard. They have a thin synthetic upper, a low collar and no classic tongue design.

The next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 & Vapor 13 football boots are set for a released in July 2019. Nothing about the tech details is known yet, but we think that they will be similar to the current generation. The launch colorway will be Blue Hero / White / Obsidian.
