Better Than Puma? Macron Italy Rugby Home & Away Kits

What if Bologna-based Italian sportswear brand Macron would make the kits for the Italy national football team? While Puma's deal with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) will run at least until 2020, Macron is supplying the Federazione Italiana Rugby (Italy rugby team since a few years). Let us take a look at the Macron Italy Rugby kits that were released some months ago.

The Italian Rugby Federation home shirt comes in Italy's traditional azure blue with the colours of the national flag featuring on both sleeves. Italy’s national flag is embroidered on the back of the collar and the word ‘Italia’ features underneath it with an embossed two-tone effect.

On the front of the Macron Italy Rugby kit is the logo of Cattolica Assicurazioni, an Italian assurance company.

The Macron Italy rugby shirt is made primarily of ‘shell’ textured Armevo fabric, with stretch inserts.

Away

Based on the same template as the home kit, the Macron Italy rugby away shirt is predominantly with subtle green and red hoops evocative of the colours of the national flag.

Cotton Jersey

Macron also released a special retro Italy rugby jersey made from cotton.
