Stunning York City 2019 'Y-Front Style' Special Edition Kit Released

York City released a special Y-front style commemorative shirt for their final game at Bootham Crescent. Dubbed the York City Bootham Crescent Commemorative Shirt, the special kit has been produced in cooperation with kit maker Under Armour.

The special-edition York City kit is maroon with the famous white 'Y-Front' design of the mid-Seventies. It comes with the club's original coat of arms and current club crest.

Legendary York City keeper Graeme Crawford, who played in every game during the club’s two-season stay in the old second division when the original 'Y-Front' jerseys were worn, joined current players for its unveiling at Bootham Crescent.

“Everyone used to like wearing this shirt and I think the design is now synonymous with York City Football Club,” Crawford pointed out. "City supporters in the crowd still wear the 'Y-Front' shirt and it was also a lucky shirt back in the Seventies so, hopefully, it will be as lucky again. The new version puts a modern take on an old design and I really like it."
