Purple / Electricity Adidas Nemeziz Messi "Ballon d'Or 2019" Boots Released - Inspired by 2010 World Cup Colorway

After they were already debuted in Sunday's La Liga top match between Atlético and Barcelona, the brand-new Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19.1 "Electricity" boots were officially released this morning.

Following Messi's record-breaking sixth Ballon d'Or triumph and lacking an "official" Ballon d'Or boot, Adidas and its affiliated retailers have branded the new boots as the Ballon d'Or edition. However, it was impossible for Adidas to predict this roughly a year ago when it was decided that the boots would be launched in December - in the end Messi only edged Virgil van Dijk by a single point.

This is further evidenced by the lack of any Ballon d'Or-related imagery on the boots themselves, a far cry from the concept design:

Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19 - Tech Indigo / Signal Green / Glory Purple

The second Adidas Nemeziz 19 Messi signature cleats combine a navy blue upper with striking yellow (electricity) Three Stripes and brandings. The boots fade to a more purple shade in the forefoot, outsole of the boots is white, while the outsole is white.

Tech-wise, the Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19.1 signature boots are the same as standard colorways of the Adidas Nemeziz 19.1 cleats. The Adidas Nemeziz 19.1 have a 360 Agility Tension Tape upper & collar and a two part outsole.

Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19.1 - Features

  • 360 Agility Tension Tape upper & collar
  • Adaptive lace construction
  • Anatomical low cut upper
  • Molded sockliner
  • Split tooling and stud configuration for maximum agility on field
  • Price: USD 225, GBP 180, EUR 220
  • Release date: 3 December 2019

The navy and electricity Adidas Nemeziz 19 Messi signature football boot colorway was released on 3 December 2019.

No More Nike: Adidas Croatia 2026 Training Kits Revealed

Following their switch from Nike to Adidas, Croatia's new training kit set for 2026 have been unveiled in the latest training camp for youth teams' goalkeepers.

However from what we've seen, both of the new jerseys are simply from Adidas Tiro 26 League template range, using default black and grey color choices. These are very likely just temporary options for the mean time, until the actual designs with probably bespoke colorways are officially released.

What do you think of the new Adidas Croatia 2026 training kits? Let us know in the comments below.
