Update: PSG was again forced to use their old 2018-19 away kit in yesterday's Ligue 1 match away against Metz. The Nike PSG 2019-2020 third kit is set to be launched after the international break, so it should be the last time that Paris Saint-Germain wore the old jersey...
August 18 - Original Article: Today's Ligue 1 game at Stade Rennais, the club that won the French Cup last season, forced Paris Saint-Germain to bring back the 2018-19 away kit. Thanks to everyone who pointed this out to us on social media, your help is greatly appreciated.
Neither PSG's dark blue home kit nor the red away kit could be worn against red-and-black Rennais. With the white 2019-20 third kit only set to be released in September, the club had to bring back the old 2018-19 away kit.
The light gold, almost white jersey was of course prepared with the new sponsor ALL instead of Fly Emirates, making this a true collectors' item.
Interestingly, another Nike team in Chelsea had the exact same issue in a preseason game this summer.
