The initiative is aimed to raise awareness for a disorder called DMD - Thousands of kids all over the world are not able to walk, run and wear off their shoes because DMD.
Players Show Off Boots To Make Aware Of Disorder DMD
The initiative has been already started some weeks ago not by a big team but by a small Turkish club. The initiative spread on social media. Each club which joined it asked another club to join in the campaign. After a few weeks, it reached the biggest Turkish teams, while Galatasaray made it global asking Spanish side Sevilla to join it.
The campaign sees footballers showing off their football boots on social media to make aware that thousands of kids all over the world are not able to walk, run and wear off their shoes because of a disorder called DMD.
As of today, FC Schalke 04 has not yet responded to Sevilla's request to join the initiative.
It is not the first time that clubs or players are using soccer cleats for a good case. In example, 1,000 pairs of football boots following donations from fans around Europe were given to children at the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordanas as part of the UEFA Europa League Trophy Tour. Many players are giving away the football boots that they don't anymore to less privileged people.
ℹ DMD genetik bir kas zayıflığı hastalığı olup, daha çok vücuttaki iradeye bağlı olarak çalışan kasları etkilemektedir.

Galatasaray 26-27 Kit Launch Delayed - Coming July 2026
Galatasaray's 2026-27 kit launch faces a potential delay, pushing the release date back to July. Initially, reports from kit insider @Formaholic indicated that the club had advanced the presentation to June 25. However, recent updates suggest that the launch will likely revert to its original July timeframe.
The delay is reportedly due to logistical issues, specifically concerning the readiness of the new kit fonts and the club's desire to have players participate in the launch event. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Galatasaray would be moving away from the standard Arial font. The new typeface is expected to be similar to the one featured on a recent special Leroy Sane kit.
