Insane?! Switzerland EURO 2020 Kit Font Is Just "Windows" Helvetica Font - Here Is "Why"

Switzerland debuted its brand-new EURO 2020 away kit in the EURO 2020 qualifiers match at home! against Georgia. With it, we got a first look at the new typeface Puma designed for the Switzerland EURO 2020 jerseys.
Switzerland EURO 2020 Kit Font
The new Switzerland EURO 2020 jersey typeface by Puma does not feature a bespoke look but is very standard. It is just the famous Helvetica Neue typeface - the only bespoke element of the Switzerland EURO 2020 Kit Font is the Swiss Football Federation logo on the bottom of the numbers.
However, while it seems to be very lame from Puma at first glance, there is a tricky reasin why Puma chose that font.
The Helvetica or "Neue Haas Grotesk" is a widely used sans-serif typeface developed in 1957 by Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger with input from Eduard Hoffmann.
So why did Puma chose the typeface? Helvetica is Latin and translates to Swiss in English, and it also created by a Swiss typeface designer. Pretty clever.
The new Switzerland EURO 2020 Kit Font is also set to be used for the home jersey.

While regulatory hurdles make such a badge virtually impossible in professional football, the visualization offers a clean and compelling look at how personal legacy could be integrated into club kits.
Inter Milan 26-27 Third Kit Debuted
Inter Milan officially debuted their new Nike 26-27 third kit on the pitch during a dramatic 5-3 Serie A comeback victory against Udinese at the San Siro, just hours after its official unveiling.
Taking inspiration from the Nerazzurri's iconic look from the late 1990s, notably referencing the 1997-98 and 1998-99 shirts. the new third kit is built on a stone-grey 'Iron Ore' base featuring a subtle tonal jacquard pattern. The centerpiece of the design is a prominent black horizontal chest band accented by a thin 'Blue Spark' lower stripe. Bright 'Speed Yellow' details are applied to the Swoosh, the two-starred club crest, the Betsson.sport sponsor, and retro-styled 1990s font names and numbers.
