Spectacular Puma x King Kazu (52-Year-Old Pro Player) Japan 94/98 Tribute Kit & King Boots Revealed

He's one of Japan's most prominent footballers. At 52 years of age, Kazuyoshi Miura, simply known as 'Kazu', or 'King Kazu' is still playing professionally for Yokohama FC.

A few days ago his sponsor Puma held a special event to celebrate this career, during which an eye-catching special-edition jersey was unveiled.

Puma Japan 1994 / 98 Tribute Kit for Kazu

The shirt, which was worn by Kazu during the event on 21 December, introduces a bold and colorful look that references the iconic Japan 1994 (Puma) and 1998 (Asics) shirts.

This is a bit odd since, despite winning 89 caps and being the top scorer with 55 goals, Kazuyoshi Miura never played at the World Cup. Japan missed out in 1994 while he was controversially left out of the squad in 1998 after scoring fourteen goals during the qualification rounds.

In addition to this kit, Puma also presented a personalized and signed pair of the King football boot, which was later displayed at Soccer Shop Kamo in Shibuya.

Unfortunately, it looks like Puma will not release the one-off Kazu Japan tribute kit (or the boots) to the public.

Let's hear your thoughts on this unique kit in the comments below.
