PSG Players Do Not Want To Wear Black Because of Superstitious Reasons

Even though PSG's black fourth kit is actually registered as Champions League home kit for the knockout stage, PSG will wear their usual home shirt. The reason is that the players are superstitious after doing badly in black the last couple of seasons.

"For all competition matches, the home club has the first choice as to which of its official playing attires announced on the playing attire approval form it wears for its home matches" - Art 54.01 of the UEFA regulations.

PSG has worn white at home throughout the group stages.

So, on Wednesday night, PSG will wear their navy kit on Wednesday while Dortmund will wear their domestic home strip with yellow shorts and socks.
