Umbro 2020 Goalkeeper Kits Inspired By 1990s Design

In the past couple of weeks, Umbro released the kit collections of some of its sponsored Brazilian teams. Espeically the goalkeeper kits of the Umbro 2020 Brazilian teams kits have caught the attention of fans - we take a look at what inspried them. Thanks to Mantos do Futebol for the heads-up.

Umbro 2020 Goalkeeper Kits Inspired By 1992-1993 Keeper Jersey Template

The new Umbro 2020 goalkeeper kit template is inspired by Umbro's keeper jersey from the early 90s.

The 2020 version of the design has the same graphics as the original model, as well as the diamonds scattered throughout the body and various abstract shapes. All brandings are more smooth than those of the classic inspiration.

The Umbro 1992-1993 keeper kit was used, among many others, by Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, when the Red Devils were champions of the first Premier League.

We have no information yet if these Umbro 1990s-inspired keeper kits will be also used for the brand's European teams, even though that is unlikely as of now.
