New Schalke Sleeve Sponsor Announced
Bundesliga club Schalke 04 have just announced their new sleeve sponsor, Harfid. The construction and project management replaces DHL.
Harfid started its partnership with Schalke in 2018 and already was the sleeve sponsor during the 2019-20 DFB Pokal. Harfid is now a premium partner of the club and the deal was extended until 2025 as per today's announcement.
Schalke to Receive €5.5 Million Per Season
While no financial details were announced, 'Kicker' reports that the deal is worth between €26 and €28 million over the total period, i.e. around €5.5 million per year. To put things into perspective, previous sleeve sponsor DHL paid €5 million per year.
A picture showing the Harfid logo on the sleeve of a new Schalke shirt was released as well. The jersey shown in the picture is not one of the three match shirts but instead a training top.
Alexander Jobst, head of marketing and communication at Schalke, said: “It’s a great sign of mutual appreciation when a partnership develops like the one between Schalke 04 and HARFID. It underlines our joint successful strategy of self-marketing. We are looking forward to the upcoming years with HARFID as our new premium partner.”
Harfid Hadrovic, CEO of HARFID: “We began sponsoring Schalke in 2018 because we were convinced by what we saw, and we expanded our partnership with them in 2019 for the same reason. We are very pleased with what we at HARFID have achieved through our partnership with Schalke 04. That’s why we are further expanding our partnership, and are looking forward to being prominently displayed on the shirt sleeves. In the midst of these trying times, which have also had an impact on our company, it’s important to stick together and to continue working towards a successful future.”

Thierry Henry Honored With Street Name in New York City Ahead of 2026 World Cup
French football legend Thierry Henry has been honored with a street named after him in New York City. Located in the heart of Manhattan at the intersection of 50th Street and 6th Avenue near Rockefeller Center, the street has been temporarily co-named "Thierry Henry Way." The tribute was officially celebrated by his former Major League Soccer club, the New York Red Bulls, who shared images of the newly installed street sign on June 10, 2026.
The dedication is part of a legislative package passed by the New York City Council to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and celebrate the tournament's arrival in the region. The initiative honors Henry's impact on the growth of soccer in the United States during his successful spell with the Red Bulls. As part of the same World Cup-inspired project, a "Pelé Way" has also been established in Queens to recognize the late Brazilian icon. Both street co-namings will remain in place until November 2026.
Henry, an Arsenal all-time leading goalscorer and World Cup winner, responded to the announcement on Instagram, calling the recognition an honor and referring to New York as his favorite city. The temporary landmark serves as a fitting tribute to his legacy in the MLS and builds anticipation for the upcoming global tournament across North America.
