Adidas Manchester United Alternative Kit History - 2015-2020

Since Adidas' first season as Man Utd kit maker (2015-16), Adidas released four different 'black' jerseys for the club. All of the different black Man Utd kits look quite similar - the differences is the secondary accent color and the design pattern printed on the kits.

In the two seasons of six in which Adidas did not launch a 'black' Manchester United (2016-17 & 2018-19), Adidas released blue alternative jerseys for the club.

Kit Crimes thinks that the reason for Man Utd to opt for black kits is that "Black must sell well to Manchester United fans".
