Of Course Not Unique... Barca, Inter & Tottenham Kits Feature "Liverpool" 20-21 Collar - Replica Execution Bad

Yesterday, we have written an article about the Liverpool 2020-2021 home kit and its collar. While we still thing that the collar is not 100% optimal for athletes, we were totally wrong with the statement that the collar design is "one-of-a-kind". So we decided to take a closer look at the collar and teams using them.

As revealed by Nike in early 2020, "Nike designers had 65 chassis options available to them across varying necklines, sleeves, cuffs, badge placement, etc" for the 2020 kits. So there are not dozens of unique collar but just a few ones.

New Nike 2020 Overlapping V-Collar

Designed to look both classy and modern, the special Nike 2020 overlapping v-collar is rather small on the front but big on the back - the collar increases its sizing to the rear area.

Barca, Spurs and Inter also use the collar for one of their shirts

Kits that use the overlapping v-collar with the bigger back are Tottenham's 20-21 home kit, FC Barcelona's 20-21 away kit and Inter's 20-21 away kit.

The replica version of the collar looks cheap

Apart from the collar, all kits are using different variations of the latest Nike 2020 template - Liverpool's kit has a straight stripe on the sides, while Spurs' jersey has a zig-zag stripe on the sides, in example.

The replica version of the collar does look very cheap because of a strange semicircle stitching that overlaps the shirt.

Which other teams are using that collar design? What do you think of the collar design in general? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
