No Reason Why? RB Leipzig Wears 'Rainbow' Away Kit At Home In Bundesliga
RB Leipzig yesterday won 3-0 in the Bundesliga match against Freiburg. It was a quite comfortable win for the Red Bulls from Saxony, so it were the kits that caught our attention.
Marketing Reasons: Leipzig Wore Away Jersey At Home
Instead if wearing their white / red home shirt, Leipzig came out in their striking blue, yellow and orange away shirt. The reason was not a kit clash certainly, as Freiburg got a black away kit.
It was now the turn of the purple-blue jersey
According to German newspaper BILD, Leipzig's kit choice was already clear in the morning - "it was now the turn of the purple-blue jersey".
In the previous six Bundesliga matches, Leipzig wore the white home kit five times and the red fourth kit once. In fact, it was the first time that Leipzig wore their away shirt in an official match. Leipzig has not worn their third kit in an official match yet.
