On Thursday, we reported that NBA clubs have brought the designs of the new 2020-2021 City Edition Uniforms to their stadium courts. We liked the designs of many of the 2020-2021 NBA City Edition uniforms - in this article, we take a look at all the Nike 2020-2021 City Edition jerseys.
City Edition jerseys were introduced in 2017 when Nike became the NBA's supplier
The City Edition jerseys are a relatively new phenomenon in the NBA. They were introduced when Nike became the league's supplier beginning with the 2017-18 season. The 2020-21 NBA City uniforms are being worn as a fourth uniform option for each club.
Nike 2020-2021 NBA City Edition Kits
Each of the NBA City edition 2020-2021 jersey features a unique design that takes into account the history of a club, its city / region or other things related to the franchise.
Pictures via @sportslogosnet.In example, Boston Celtics' jersey is designed to resemble the championship banners that hang above the court. The mint / gold Charlotte jersey pays pays tribute to the fact that Charlotte was the home of the first U.S. Branch Mint and the Carolina Gold Rush in the early 19th century.
Advantages Of Nike 2020-2021 NBA City Edition Kits Compared To Usual NBA Jerseys
There are various reasons why Nike and the NBA introduced the City Edition jerseys, and the main aspect is certainly money. However, there are also several different advantages of these kits, and some also make sense for football teams.
NBA teams do not experiment as much as soccer teams with their "regular" jerseys
Pros Of City Edition Jerseys
- Can be designed freely
- Allows NBA Teams to have more jersey variability (NBA teams must have a white home / "alternative / away" uniform)
- Teams do not experiment as much with their regular shirts
We think that the main advantage of these City Edition / special jerseys for football (soccer) teams would be that they won't have to experiment as much with their "regular" home, away and third jerseys but can play around freely without annoying fans.
In fact, football teams and brands already started to release more special-edition jerseys, but most just not on the same regular base as NBA clubs with the City Edition uniforms.
Do you like the Nike NBA City Edition Uniforms for the 2020-21 season? Do you think football clubs should release such special jerseys as well instead of changing their traditional colors for their kits? Tottenham Reveal Custom Embroidered "Sydney Special" Nameset by Rhapzo
During Tottenham Hotspur's pre-season tour in Australia, the North London club teamed up with custom embroidery artist Rhapzo to showcase a bespoke nameset for their 26-27 home kit. Unveiled at the club's pop-up venue, Spurs House in Sydney, the special design pays homage to iconic local landmarks while celebrating the team's visit down under.
The custom nameset features intricate white embroidered back numbers incorporating a stitched graphic of the famous Sydney Opera House near the base of each digit. A thin golden accent line runs through the core of the numbers to meet a mini Spurs cockerel crest, while the club's motto "to dare is to do" is delicately embroidered in cursive script underneath.
The player names above are rendered in white with a black border.

No Adidas Logo: Charly Mexico U23 Kits Released
Mexico's U23 squad has received brand-new Charly kits ahead of their campaign at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games (Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe).
Fans expecting to see the customary Adidas three stripes on El Tri's youth delegation might be caught off guard, but there is a distinct structural reason behind the supplier swap for this tournament.
While the main national team and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) are sponsored by Adidas, multi-sport events within the Olympic cycle fall directly under the governance of the Comité Olímpico Mexicano (COM). Domestic sportswear brand Charly holds the official apparel rights for all athletes representing the Mexican Olympic Committee through the 2028 Los Angeles Games, resulting in the U23 football squad dressing in Charly uniforms for these games.
The new Mexico U23 2026 home jersey features a deep green base highlighted by subtle tonal vertical stripes running down the front. The design is finished with a traditional polo collar and sleeve cuffs trimmed in red and dark green accents. Instead of the FMF crest, the chest displays the official Mexican Olympic Committee logo alongside Charly's emblem, paired with green shorts and white socks.
