Rangers 150-Years Anniversary Logo Released

In March 2022, Scottish team Rangers Football Club will celebrate the club's 150th anniversary. Yesterday, the club released a special 150-years anniversary logo, marking the beginning of the special occasion.

The club was founded by four young lads – Moses McNeil, Peter McNeil, William McBeath and Peter Campbell - who had a dream to start a football team whilst walking through West End Park (now known as Kelvingrove Park) in March 1872. Rangers FC are Europe’s first major club to reach 150 years.

Rangers 150-Years Anniversary Crest

The Rangers 150-years logo is based on the regular Rangers crest. It comes with a golden / navy color scheme for a classy look and the inscription for the 150-years anniversary below it.

Rangers will release "commemorative kits"

Rangers also announced that their "kit supplier and retail partner Castore will release commemorative kits that pay tribute to the rich heritage and success this club has been built on. These kit launches will be further complemented by special edition training wear, leisure wear and retro items for all ages".

Rangers Chairman, Douglas Park, commented: "Rangers are today delighted to unveil our 150th anniversary crest – the first major milestone as we count down to the celebrations of being the first major European club to reach such a landmark."

James Bisgrove, Rangers’ Commercial & Marketing Director added: "Today marks the beginning of the build-up to our historic 150th-anniversary celebrations with a wide range of supporter-facing activities planned in the coming 12 months, culminating in the grand opening of new Edmiston House.".

Special Commemorative Patches for 1000th FIFA World Cup Match

To mark a significant milestone in football history, special commemorative patches were featured during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group F match between Tunisia and Japan in Monterrey. The fixture officially marked the 1000th match in the history of the tournament.

In recognition of the occasion, both the Japan and Tunisia national teams wore mini Match 1000 arm patches on their jerseys. The special detailing was spotted on the players' kits during the game, as well as on the shirts laid out in the dressing rooms beforehand.

The commemorative design was not limited to the competing teams, as the match officials also wore the Match 1000 patch on their referee kits. This subtle yet historic addition provided a unique touch to the kits for the milestone game.
